San Jacinto Death: Actress, Dancer, SoCal DJ Killed In Riverside County Paragliding Crash

A woman killed over the weekend in a paragliding accident in San Jacinto was identified over the weekend as a San Diego resident who worked as a child actress and became a professional dancer.

Kelsey Lewis, 29, died on a hillside in the 200 block of E. Soboba Road at 11:07 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County coroner’s bureau.

Minutes before, deputies and paramedics were dispatched to the area “regarding a downed paraglider,” Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez said.

Despite efforts to revive Lewis, she was pronounced dead at the scene, the sergeant said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

According to her bio on San Diego-based Dancing DJ Productions, Lewis was a child actress who had a big break in the early 2000s when she was cast in Pink’s music video, “Family Portrait.” The song is about family conflict, with Lewis portraying a traumatized child.

“Getting to work with and sing alongside [Pink] was an inspiring and amazing experience that I’ll keep with me forever,” Lewis’s bio reads. “Throughout my acting career, I have been blessed to work (and dance) alongside some amazingly talented performers who continue to inspire me daily.”

Lewis worked as a DJ throughout Southern California, including several Riverside County venues.

“… I grew up a child actress. I’ve always loved music, playing guitar, and singing,” her bio reads.Lewis put acting on hold to attend college. “That is where I found my love for music, dancing, and DJing,” according to the bio.

Growing up in Lancaster, Lewis began acting at age 4, appearing in commercials for Disney, Toys “R” Us, Mervyn’s, Merrill-Lynch, Organ Donors, Tropicana Orange Juice, and others, according to IMDb.

She was 7 when Pink booked her. At the age of 9, Lewis was cast in her first movie role as Nellie in “Samantha, An American Girl Holiday,” IMDb reports.

Lewis later appeared in television shows, including “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Inside” and “Gilmore Girls,” and appeared in made-for-TV movies such as, “Love’s Unfolding Dream” and “Bert & Becca,” according to IMDb.
