Death: 38-year-old Raymond Garza, and his mother, 58-year-old Melissa Quinn, were killed in their home early Thursday morning
Two people were killed, and a suspect is in arrest following a purported break-in and shooting at a Tulare residence.
“My entire world has been devastated because someone decided to end my family’s lives. Destiny Mills stated, “And now those kids will be traumatized for the rest of their lives.”
Mills expressed her grief via tears after her cousin-in-law, Raymond Garza, 38, and his mother, Melissa Quinn, 58, were killed in their home early Thursday morning.
Mills claims Garza’s three children were also present when the invader broke into the residence.
The mother of Garza’s youngest children died unexpectedly in 2019.
Now, the two small children are without their mother or father.
“These kids had one parent left and they took that from them,” Mills told me.
Tulare police said they got a 911 call from someone inside the house reporting an intrusion.
When cops arrived, they discovered the two victims inside the house with various injuries.
Garza died at the spot, and Quinn died later in the hospital.
Police also discovered the suspect in the backyard with gunshot wounds.
They believe he was shot in the home, but he survived and is currently in arrest.
Mills believes the family has more questions than answers.
“It does not make sense. It does not make any sense. So, the entire family is in tatters right now, trying to figure out what occurred. “And why would they target them if they are good people?” Mills explained.
As the police investigation continues, Mills explains how Garza will be remembered.
“Raymond always showed up for his family. He was always present at all of the family gatherings and birthday parties. “He was an important part of our life and family,” Mills stated.
Mills has created a GoFundMe account to aid with funeral expenses.
