John Enright Obituary, Death: In Loving Memory Of John Enright
After a 6-month battle with cancer, John Michael Enright, 34, of Farmington, Connecticut, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
On July 12, 1990, John was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to John Lewis and Susan McLoughlin Enright of Stratford. In Stratford, Connecticut, he attended Bunnell High School and St. Mark School. Marist College granted him a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Communication.
He developed lifelong friends at Marist and was a proud member of the intramural dodgeball team, John Enright and His Merry Men. Following graduation, John secured his perfect career as a creative producer at ESPN.
In his private life, John was a devoted sports fan who passionately supported his favorite team, the New England Patriots. He also looked forward to March Madness all year long, living for college basketball season. He liked to watch Marvel films and read, with interests ranging from American history to Star Wars.
John will always be known for his contagious laugh and good nature. He will also be remembered for his incredible humility during his brief fight with illness; he remained cheerful and courteous while clinging to his intense optimism right up until the end.
He is survived by his in-laws Alan and Kathleen of Lubbock, Texas; his brother Kevin and fiancé Samantha of Hamden; his wife Amanda of Farmington; and his parents, John and Susan of Stratford. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, he also leaves behind his beloved dog, Frito. He is the grandson of the late Michael and Mary McLoughlin of Chappaqua, New York, and John and Margaret Enright of Cos Cob, Connecticut.
